Why Choose a Childminder?

childminderOne of the advantages of a childminder is that your child will be looked after in a small group of children usually of mixed ages similarly to life at home.

Often a childminder will care for the child from a baby through to high school and this gives a continuity of care providing the child with a sense of security and confidence. Working alongside and supporting the parents is a major part of a childminder's job.

Many parents prefer the family friendly atmosphere a childminder offers and often they remain firm friends even after the child has grown and moved on.

Most childminders are parents themselves so have invaluable experience with children so you have confidence when you are leaving your child in their care.

All childminders have to be Ofsted registered and trained according to the Government and Ofsted's requirements.

A good childminder will endeavour to meet each families needs and will ensure that your child's needs are met within their daily routine. Good two-way communication is vital and encouraged.

The Ofsted grades for childminders are Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement and Inadequate.

Please look for links to our Ofsted inspection on the all about me page.
